Plug the system power cord into the panel receptacle of the energy platform and check for proper grounding
Connect directly to AC power and maximum avoid power strip or extension cord
Turn On the ESU energy console and verify the self-test automatically. After the self-test completed successfully. green light or ok symbol appears on the screen
Check all the setting and switches, whether operational or not
Connect the footswitch and check for working by activating after connecting to the machine. according to the machine model, monopolar/bipolar footswitch differs.
Apply for the patient neutral plate (patient return electrode) on the Thigh or surface without any bony prominence
connect the neutral plate connector to the machine and check for connectivity (green light appear on the control panel)
Now connect the sterile monopolar pencil provided by the scrub. connect the machine end to the appropriate connection and check for values
The surgeon prefers the setting according to tissue and steps of procedures.
Now check by activating CUT and COAG button on hand control/footswitch
Beep sound and light glowing on the control panel when activating indicates the use of Endo Surgical Unit

For Application of the footswitch
- Ensure that the electrosurgical generator is off.
- Connect the adapter to the footswitch accessory receptacle on the ES generator.
- Insert the accessory cord into the receptacle in the middle of the adapter. adjust the tension screw if necessary.ensure that no metal is exposed.
- Adjust the tension screw so the accessory cord is securely connected .do not overtighten the tension screw, otherwise, accessory cord damage may result.
Warning: connect accessories to the proper receptacle .improper connection of accessories may result in inadvertent accessory

Connect only ESU provider equipment model, do not misconnect one with other without fail.

Attach the connector plug on the two-pedal footswitch to the appropriate receptacle on the back of the generator.
Activate and the electrosurgical instruments/pencil by stepping on the appropriate cut or coagulation foot pedal switches. while using cauterized tissue and smokes suctioned using a suction system

Bipolar foot switch
Its resemble the same diathermy, monopolar footswitch but only one-foot pedal switch available in it.
One switch helps to activate when the need for bipolar usage.
