Adson retractor also called cerebellar retractor, is used to expose surgical wounds.
Mainly used in Cranial surgery and spine surgery.
Cerebellar retractor: Description
The self-retaining retractor with four prongs on each side of the shanks
Weitlaner retractor looks similar to the Adson cerebellar retractor
The angles of the shanks were designed ergonomically to expose the Scalp in the Posterior area of the Head
(as shown in the image) for better access to the cerebellum
The ratchet locks when expanding the retractor and releasing control allows the
surgeon to release the retractor from the surgical site
The Four Prongs in the retractor don’t cross over in the Adson cerebellar retractor.
Available in three variants in size and angles
